This specialty variety, also known as our Omega Mushroom popcorn, is grown on our Nebraska family farm and loved for its ability to expand into sturdy “mushroom balls” that withstand coatings without breaking down. Every batch is Non-GMO, Star-K Kosher Certified, and naturally gluten-free — a wholesome, farm-fresh snack you can feel good about. The larger 3 lb resealable pouch is perfect for families, serious snackers, or anyone who loves to pop often. For best results, use an air popper or stovetop with oil. (Microwaving is not recommended, as it can affect the mushroom shape.)

A Name For My Favorite Popcorn

As a child, I picked out the round pebbly pieces of popcorn from the bowl, not knowing they had a name. After 80 plus, I was delighted to learn that Free Day sells bags of Mushroom popcorn, although, to me, it more nearly resembles cauliflower. But that probably wouldn't sell. Only wish it had fewer hulls.

Best Popcorn Ever!

We just purchased the mushroom popcorn and absolutely love it! It made amazing caramel corn, due to it's large size. I love that it didn't break during the baking and turning process like other, smaller varieties. We even love having it on popcorn Sundays. Can't wait to order more!

Delicious

I really love this popcorn! But you need to go by the directions on how to make. If you use too much oil or put too much popcorn in pan you get a lot of unpopped kernels. This is what happened on my first batch. Second batch was almost perfect. I have found no popcorn cooks every kernel. Give it a try! You’ll be glad you did!

Popping Ears

We’ve enjoyed popping these ears. Other than the first time I received one I read the instructions carefully and it stated that I could put it directly in the microwave or put it in a bag to pop it. My bag was a little too small and when it was done popping I opened the door and a lot spilled onto the range below and also in the microwave. But, it was exciting especially for the young ones. Thank you!
