As a 7th-generation family farm, we are deeply connected to our roots. Though our ancestors may be gone, we walk in their footsteps every day. Pictured above is Nate’s great-grandfather, seated on the corn trailer with his son, Willis. He built the corn crib himself and even signed his name in the cement—a lasting mark of his dedication.
This photo shows Nate’s grandparents’ footprints etched into the cement floor of a shop they built. I imagine they were initially horrified to realize they’d walked through uncured cement in their work boots—and probably shared a few laughs about it afterward. Today, We’re grateful for that little “mistake.” Those prints serve as a small but powerful reminder of the farmers upon whose shoulders we stand.
