We have always believed that popcorn brings people together.
It is there for family movie nights gathered around a big bowl of popcorn, graduation parties, weddings, camping trips, holiday celebrations, Friday night ballgames, road trips, fireworks on the Fourth of July, and quiet evenings spent with the people who matter most.
Sometimes popcorn is part of life’s biggest celebrations. Other times, it simply makes an ordinary moment feel a little more special.
At Free Day Popcorn, it is truly an honor to know that popcorn grown on our family farm becomes part of your family’s traditions, celebrations, and memories.
For our 2027 calendar, we are inviting you to share a photo of a Moment That Matters featuring Free Day Popcorn.
Selected photos may be featured in our 2027 Free Day Popcorn calendar and may also be shared through Free Day Popcorn social media, email, website, printed materials, and other marketing.
What Is a “Moment That Matters”?
A Moment That Matters can be a major celebration, a favorite family tradition, or a simple everyday memory made better by sharing popcorn.
Examples may include:
- Family movie nights
- Popping popcorn on the stove
- Talking around the kitchen table
- Graduation parties
- Weddings, anniversaries, or receptions
- Birthday celebrations
- Camping trips and campfires
- Fourth of July fireworks
- Ballgames, watch parties, and tailgates
- Holiday gatherings
- Caramel corn-making traditions
- School, church, or community events
- Road trips and family vacations
- Cozy winter evenings
- Harvest celebrations
- Any meaningful moment involving Free Day Popcorn
We hope to feature moments from throughout the year. When possible, selected photos will be matched with an appropriate calendar month. For example, a fireworks photo may appear in July, while a snowy movie night may be featured during a winter month.
How to Submit Your Photo

Please use the following subject line: Popcorn Photo Submission
Please include the following information in your email:
- Your full name
- Your hometown and state
- Your photo attached as an original image file
- The photographer’s name, if someone else took the photo
- A short story of approximately 50–150 words explaining why this moment matters and how popcorn helped bring people together
- The names of the people pictured, if you would like them included in a calendar caption
- The season or month associated with the photo, if applicable
Multiple submissions are welcome. Please send each moment with its accompanying story and information clearly identified.
Submission deadline: October 1, 2026
Photo Requirements
- Photos should show a meaningful moment involving Free Day Popcorn.
- Photos should be clear, well-lit, and suitable for printing.
- Submit the highest-resolution version of the photo available.
- Photos should be at least 300 dpi when possible.
- Original photos taken directly with an iPhone, smartphone, or digital camera are generally acceptable, depending on the image settings and quality.
- Please do not submit screenshots, images saved from Facebook or other social media, or heavily compressed versions of a photo.
- Horizontal or landscape-oriented photos may work best for the calendar, but vertical photos will also be considered.
- Photos do not need to be professionally taken. Meaningful everyday phone photos are welcome.
- Professional photographs may be submitted only when you have permission from the photographer and the legal right to authorize Free Day Popcorn to use the image.
Photo Ownership and Permission
By submitting a photo, you confirm that you own the photo or have received all necessary permission from the photographer or copyright owner to submit it and authorize its use.
You also confirm that you have permission from every recognizable person appearing in the photo.
If a child or minor appears in the image, the photo must be submitted with permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian.
Please do not submit professional photography, school photography, sports photography, wedding photography, or any other copyrighted image unless you have received permission from the photographer or copyright owner.
By submitting your photo and story, you grant Free Day Popcorn Company permission to use, reproduce, publish, display, crop, resize, and lightly edit the submitted photo and accompanying story.
Submitted materials may be used in:
- The 2027 Free Day Popcorn calendar
- Free Day Popcorn social media
- The Free Day Popcorn website
- Email newsletters and promotions
- Printed marketing materials
- Other Free Day Popcorn advertising and promotional materials
Permission is granted without additional payment or compensation beyond the selected-photo thank-you gift described below.
If Your Photo Is Selected
We may select up to 12 photos for the 2027 Free Day Popcorn calendar.
If your photo is selected for the calendar, you will receive:
- One complimentary 2027 Free Day Popcorn calendar
- One Free Day Popcorn kernel sampler pack
- One Free Day Popcorn sticker
We will contact selected participants using the email address from which the submission was sent.
A photo may also be shared through Free Day Popcorn marketing even if it is not selected for the printed calendar.
Important Information
- No purchase is necessary to submit a photo.
- Submitting a photo does not guarantee that it will be selected, published, or used.
- Free Day Popcorn may choose not to use any submission for any reason.
- Photos may be selected based on image quality, storytelling, seasonality, calendar layout, and how well they represent the Moments That Matter theme.
- Free Day Popcorn may crop, resize, or lightly edit selected photos to fit calendar and marketing layouts.
- Free Day Popcorn may lightly edit submitted stories for spelling, grammar, clarity, and length.
- Submission materials will not be returned.
- The submission period closes on October 1, 2026.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my photo have to be professionally taken?
No. Many of life’s most meaningful moments are captured with a phone camera. Clear, high-resolution phone photos are welcome.
May I submit a professional photo?
Yes, but only when you have permission from the photographer or copyright owner and have the legal right to authorize Free Day Popcorn to use it. Paying for a professional photography session does not always mean you own the copyright to the photos.
May I submit more than one photo?
Yes. Multiple submissions are welcome. Please clearly identify the story and submission information associated with each photo.
Does Free Day Popcorn need to appear in the photo?
The photo should clearly connect to Free Day Popcorn. This may include a Free Day Popcorn package, bowl of popcorn, Popping Ear, popcorn display, popcorn bar, or another recognizable use of popcorn grown by Free Day.
Can a business or wholesale customer submit a photo?
Yes. Families, individuals, businesses, retailers, popcorn shops, community organizations, schools, and other Free Day Popcorn customers are welcome to share a meaningful moment.
Business submissions should focus on the celebration, tradition, event, or people involved rather than functioning only as a business advertisement.
Will every submission be included in the calendar?
No. We may select up to 12 images, and submission does not guarantee inclusion or publication.
How will I know if my photo is selected?
Free Day Popcorn will contact selected participants by email after submissions have been reviewed.
Can Free Day Popcorn use my photo even if it is not selected for the calendar?
Yes. By submitting the photo, you give Free Day Popcorn permission to consider it for social media, website content, email, print, and other marketing purposes.
